..Work In Progress.. tomorrow's the day!

Hiyaa! I probably never mentioned, but when it comes to style, my absolute, supreme, one and alone idol is Mischa Barton. I was browsing Vogue Italia's september issue and TADADADAN there she is with an amazing look in general and a stunning headband in particular. First tought: i'd love it. Second thought: i may use it for VFNO. Third thought..NEXT DiY FOUND.
I iMMEDiATELY go upstairs and with a triumphant smile open the wardrobe, where an old studded belt lurks, miracolously survived to the raid i did next month JUST because studs are great this season, and you just never know, do you? I take it downstairs and meticolously start to free the studs under the perplexed look of my mum. Then i go in the garage where my bag with old pieces of textile lies and digging into it i find an old headband in dark grey from which i had detatched a GiNORMOUS horrible flower that made me look like a wrapped gift. I paint it black with acrylic colour and the operation begins. It takes me an awful lot of time to attach all the studs, and i have to throw away something like 5 or seven, victims of failed attempts, but once found the right method the work goes on quite smooth and i have my studded headband that i just can't wait to show the whole world!


So this morning i had this thing to do, i had to go to my friend's house to carry out some top secret work, and i had to wake up at 6.45. It was FREEZiNG. well it was not really freezing but it was effin cold! Plus i am a cold-y person so i was shivering even though wearing a jumper. How will i manage from next week on, when i'll have to wake up at SiX ( it never ends being a trauma, it's been 4 years of it and i still can't get accostumed to it ) and be out by 6.35!? I was planning on wearing my short blazer on the first day but knowing myself i'll be an ice statue by the time i get to the Coach Stop. hmphhh.

haha i'm sorry this is so not elegant! But be clement, it was nine in the morning and i had slept no more than 5 hours! Plus i didn't mean to photograph MYSELF while yawning but it came out like this and my expression is so riddiculous that i couldn't delete this :D

[ We always go by bycicle like this. I'm lazy and i'm small so i'm always the one who's carried! I couldn't stop taking photographs it was such a nice day, sunny and yet not too hot, and Pavia looked amazing. ]

Then after some secret work and a lot of broodling on the coach watching useless tv programmes like "the 15 richest mothers of Hollywood chart" on E! or "Extreme Makeover" we went to the copistery and to school to check the list of the new first year students! No one really cares about them and they're like...children, every year we are astonished how first year students look younger and younger and absolute loosers and we're like " gawd we weren't like THAT back then"...it fills you with sadness, being at your fourth year, when all the people you knew are gone to university and there's just another year after this one and then you'll be gone too..you feel like you know nobody when you used to know the whole school population!

This is the statue at the entrance of my school. It is Torquato taramelli, a scientist [ geologist and paleontologist ], he gives name to our school which is indeed a scientific lyceum. They say it brings bad luck to look at him in the eyes when entering the school in the morning so we ususaly avoid eye contact with him EXPECiALLY if there's some test that day, which is pretty much always.

After the trip to school we went to a near Bar that makes great smoothies in loads of tastes and also has other strange stuff.. so i got this cold shaken chocolate which was actually cold milk with cacao powder shaken with ice...Disgusting at sight, all bubbly and mud-like, but veery good and puls it came in this AMAZiNG cup [ to be honest the cup is pretty much why i dared order it in the first place!!!!! I'm a child, i'm helpless.]

GUYS!! check your calendar!! Tomorrow's the daaaay. I can't wait any longer. VFNO VFNO VFNO! Unfortunately, although the party officially begins at 7, i won't probably make it there until 8.30 because my auntie is coming too and we need to wait for her to get home from work. I should be disappointed but i actually can't. How can i be disappointed when i know my Final Destination is VFNO???

White Night

So Saturday night, instead of our normal girls night out, there was this huge White Night in Pavia, beloved town where i study, and..for some reason i can't explain, it was UNBEARABLY CROWDED, far more crowded than it had ever been on any white night i can recall. There was this..STREAM of people going down the main street, Strada Nuova, and very loud music mixed with the screaming of people, because you obviously needed to screem in order to be heard by your fellow standing a few centimeters from you..it was CRAZY and i was going mental but for the first time in a looong Pavia was crowded again and again i could spot the so missed known faces around. Fashion Notations? i'm accostumed to see loads of Guccis and Louis Vuittons around because any girl, woman or old lady in Pavia has got one, but last night, my good lord, i've seen more guccis and Louis that night that in my entire life! Had they seen it, they would've been proud. Anyway, after stopping every two meters to greet someone and stay and chat with them, we finally-God knows HOW- found a table for 7 at our new favourite bar, "il Pozzo" a very, how could i say...Hare Krishna place with a veery nice atmosphere and great cocktails!

I ordered one of my new favourite cocktails, a Peach One, don't even ask what's in it because i can't remember, but it's fresh and has little pieces of fruits in it that you can eat along with the drink and a piece of watermelon where you'd usually put a slice of lemon, you know.. the fun thing about this drink is that if you read it altogether, it sounds like "Piccione" that means "Pidgeon" so everytime you've got to order it, mention it, or pay for it, you can't help but laughing because "i drank a Pidgeon" sounds slightly..well put it this way, Bizarre if not Disgusting! So while in this bar everyone was calling me or texting me to catch up but i couldn't hear a shit so people kept on calling and i was like freaked out! Here i was probably texting my BFF! She's my dearest but we seldom get a way to see each other, we have frantic lives and this makes it all harder, but we attend the same school so at last we will see each other everyday from next Monday! She was wearing the nicest necklace, had seen it in accessorize that very morning and had meant to buy it myself ( connection, connection! ) and a matching blue nailpolish ( what did i just say about Blue Satin? here. ) and her new haircut suits her so!

Ha-ah, Main Point here! I may have been out and about but i haven't forgotten my 'duties'. see? This is my beloved ( how many times did i type the word beloved today? gee ) Moleskine and what you see is the list of shops i'm going to visit ( eleven out of 400, good selection, isn't it? ) and the map of the Zone of Milan..Just because i love to be precise about these things, and organised :D i'm obviously going to translate you the schedule in th following days!

Whishlist!

Helloooo my dearessstss! Just in case you were wondering, NOOO, of course i haven't forgotten about
how could i!?! Do you really think me capable of such a thing!? Surely not! i'm trying to pulll together some outfits that i will show you in order for you to help me making my mind up, AAND, i've already chosen a list of little more than 10 shops i'll be visiting that night..i mean, i can't be everywhere ( shamefully! )! so the schedule will soon be posted here :D
Buttt in the meantime, here is something i really care about! Have you ever pondered about our desires? To humanes, enough never seems to be enough, and in case you didn't notice, everytime we satisfy one desire, another is just round the corner to haunt our peaceful dreams. What do you think is the moral? NONE of course, i'm not here to moralise! But the other day, i couldn't fall asleep so i mentally listed the things i thought i needed to buy before, or shortly after, school starts..and i was ASTONiSHED at the lenght of the list! So i tried to search some of the items and composed a visual wishlist. It is not complete, and some of the items are just examples of the kind of things i want, and i feel like pointing out that this is the short-term list, with normal things, not the expensive-list-please-father-christmas-will-you-gift-me-this-one..

Honestly, i suddenly can't conceive how i managed to surive till today without a Moleskine. And i mean it. Now that i know i need one, it seems to me like it's something ViTAL. i'm buying it tomorrow, no excuses. Need it for VFNO!

May i say that i ADORE melissa shoes. It's been at least one year since i first decided i wanted them and now i've found a shop that sells them half priced and i need them!! I don't know which model i'm going to buy but it doesn't matter, they're all super-cute.

I started to crave some wet look leggins last winter and never stopped. But god knows why, everytime i was about to buy them, i suddenly changed my mind and so i never did. Well now i think the moment's come!

I know they're expensive, i know they're just gummy booties, but good lord, look at them... plus, in winter i use them a lot, and mine SUCK, so i need a new pair really...this silver ones are amazing!

these are even more expensive, and i know..but i love them! they're the alternative to hunter boots and they go with everything..

okay so i said this was the bargain list...oh well i hadn't realised i had put them in the list! So they're actually part of the other list but i still crave them. They're gorgeous!

Basically, i need a new shirt because my mother has ruined all the ones i had. I adore Ralph Lauren ones for their shape, but let's face it, they cost an arm and a leg, and i have a LOOONG wishlist, so the abercrombie one is the greatest alternative. Still expensive, with the right shape, and the perfect excuse to go to abercrombie...:D will unfortunately have to wait until the end of october for the italian store to open in Milan but so what?


Soo this was my short whishlist..i can't force myself to try and calculate the total amount of it and it's probably better so!! Will you tell me...what is the one piece you crave at the moment?

1: BLUMARiNE

A pale pastel palette, ginormous rectangular gems everywhere, floral and animalier prints and a lot of exaggeration: if it weren't so damn cute, it would be damn otrageous! a lot like parvenue, not the slightest bit like chic! But Blumarine took all that can easily be misworn, and taught us how to wear it. A timeless lesson of taste.

The jeans+jacket combo seems to dominate the runway this season, and Blumarine was no exception. Elegant silohuettes for a vintage-some elegance.

3 details i adore: the tees, the ginormous earrings, the sandals.

2: GUCCi

sparklin, androginous, spigulous sartotial cuts: Gucci mixs with hability the attention to the quality of sartorial clothing to the sparklin' pailettes of the eighties discos. Once again, the material is unusual and of difficult wearability: but that's exactly what makes the collection so special. Because at the meantime, the clothes are kept simple, to create a magistral balance. No curves, but angles. No morbid, but a lot of sharpness.

3 details i adore: the small belts, the shape of the trousers, the booties.

3: BALMAiN

shoulder pads, studs, sequins: a rock-ability couture for everyday life. In times of crisis, you need to have large shoulders: and this is exactly what Balmain is giving you. the rocker shapes are mixed to very basic elements, to create a contrast that has nothing of the contrast and all of the perfect mix. Once again, the trousers-jacket-tee, keep-it-simple combo monopolizes the runway, for a style that conferes respectability and an aura of "power".

Hi everyone i'm back!!
is it good or not, still haven't decided, but i'm home again :)
So..These are crazy days, i'm going to have to study hard all day because a) i haven't done it all summer! and b) it's going to be a tought schoolyear and a very important one and i need to be prepared..
But this is SOOO NOT what you wanna hear about, right, isn't it.. Let me tell you that, when i was on holiday, one day, while i was having my 20 minutes rest after applying a disgustingly sticky beauty mask on my face ( half a banana, one spoon of youghurt and some honey, smash it all togheter and put it on your face, try it, disgusting but worth it, it leaves your skin so soft! ) i came up with loads of ideas for my blog. Soo, be ready to it all, because a lot is going to be going on in here!
But first of all, and most important, i need to tell you something.
you my dear VOGUETTES ( yes you are right this word has a beautiful sound!! ) may know that something HUGE is going on...
VOGUE, the greatest, highest, unreachable, chic-lite magazine, is organising a party-night, all over the world, in the most important towns of each country.... VOGUE FASHiON'S NiGHT OUT is one of the biggest events EVER and it's going to happen this very month, this very year.
The chosen night for Milan is 10th September: The whole city is going to stay awake by night, the ateliers are going to stay open, fashion designers, models, everyone is going to be there, to welcome you in their boutiques, be your PERSONAL SHOPPERS for one night; Photographers will take snaps of you on a real RED CARPET, wearing Dior stuff, almost every designer is going to realize a personalised gadget for the night, in limited edition, at popular prices. Campari has realised a drink which is going to be served ONLY THAT NiGHT in chosen points of the city. Catwalks, make-up artists re going to be there, to reveal you their deepest secrets.
VFNO is going to be all over the news, and guess who's going to be there....?

OBViOUSLY i have fantasized about what i'm going to wear, but i have loads of ideas, and i just can't make my mind up. One thing is for sure: i'm going to wear my short blazer with sculptured shoulder pads, and i want my look to be as Balmain-ey as possible, because that's the one direction i have chosen fot my wardrobe this season. Also, it has to be PERSONAL. everyone is going to be there, and it's a HUGE chance. I can't tell you how EXCiTED i am.
i'm probably going to wear trousers, because i hate my legs, and don't feel like showing them, but i have also thought about customising an old dress of mine and if i ONLY could find some SPARE TiME to do it, it would be amazing, really.
Now what i want you to do is... free your immagination, and give me suggestions!!! NEED THEM!! YOUR HELP iS ViTAL.
it's crazy right now, as i told you, i'm studying 24/7...

Hi everyone! Soo i just wanted to say i'm off to Palma De Mallorca for one week and i won't be able to post anything nor answer your sweeeet comments.. i hope it's going to be a fine vacation and i have great expectations about Palma.. there are loads of shops i'm going to depredate ( Corte Ingles, Mango,...Zara, OF COURSE! ) and i hope i'll meet nice people because i don't want to spend another week lying on the beach like last year, it was damn boring!

Anyway, please just keep commenting and following, this is very important to me and i appreciate it a lot, i thank all the bloggers that left me those sweet comments these days and i promise you i'm returning all of your comments as soon as i come back!!!!

The photos are from last night.. it was a good night, i was hanging with these two friends of mine, the city is still empty but i'm beginning to spot known faces around.. i've met a few people i hadn't seen in ages and that made me happy! but could it all go right? of course not... After a Sea Breeze and a Strawberry Caipiroska ( that i first poured on the floor and second had going up mi nose, so that i sneezed pink vodka for a while :D ) i was walking along the main street and one of my shoes left me, how can i say...sorta suspended in space. YEAH, one of my heels fell apart right in the middle of the street. I had to take secondary streets to hide and save myself from the shame but that was no bad after all because i discovered a shop that sells MELiSSA SHOES for a bargain... only 25 euros! they gotta be mine as soon as i come back. As well as those Chanel sunglasses.....

I AM A VOGUETTE

[ Blazer: Zara. Tank: Pimkie, self customised. Trousers: Zara. Sunglasses: Armani, my mother's, hate them but looked kinda spacey LOL ]
This is another tank top i customised a few days ago! After the Anna one, i just couldn't stop: i came up with ideas, bought these nice basic tanks and just worked worked worked. As the title of the post points out, the writing on the tank says i'm a voguette. I've been wearing this grey tank a lot these days, also to give some peace to the Anna one, and partly because it's 40 degrees centigrade and the heat is unbearable. The short blazer is one of my latest buyings [ needless saying from zara ] and i'm totally in love with it. I've loved it since the first time i saw it and thought about it for more than a week then went to another Zara and had to buy it. I'm totally in love with shoulder pads and Zara is making my dreams come true! It's the only shop in which you can find such clothes and this tells a lot. I love the way it suits me, especially if i'm wearing heels, it makes me look taller and slimmer and i don't know..just loove it.

Anyway, the snaps were inspired by an article in the beauty section of Vogue Italia displaying these amazing women dressed up in a spacey way and they sort of reminded me of robots, or unhumanised figures, i know the setting it's not that thing, but i couldn't move out of my house, it's freakin' hooot! Plus, oh please, don't mind my hair... i've been to ANOTHER hairdresser today, and as per usual, just like all the others, he didn't listen to a fucking word i said and instead did what he fucking wanted and now i'm desperate again and i want to CASTRATE HiM because i HATE hairdressers, they NEVER EVER listen to what you say, and now i look like Freja Beha in a bad hair day. No wait, i'm not insulting Freja, i simply ADORE her, it's just that i don't like my hair like this, it's NOTHiNG like i wanted them.

i was wondering.. did anybody ever try Toni&Guy? Because i'm likely to go back to London for a few days this winter and i was tempted to make one last attempt to find the right hairdresser. Not that i can catch a plane every time i need to have my hair cut...
